Do you wish to join the Indian Army and serve the nation? Well, then here’s some good news for you. Recently, The Indian Army has come out with a notification to recruit dentists through short service commission. Both male and female candidates can apply for the position.

A total of 28 candidates would be recruited through this process.

Educational Qualifications

In order to apply for the position, a candidate must have obtained a BDS degree (with minimum 55 percent marks in final year)/MDS from a College/University recognised by the Dental Council of India (DCI). The candidate should have also completed a one-year Compulsory Rotatory Internship, as mandated by DCI by June 30 2023. The candidate must also have in possession a Permanent Dental Registration Certificate of State Dental Council valid at least up to December 31, 2023.

Here it is to be noted that only those candidates who have appeared in the NEET (MDS) -2023 conducted by National Board of Examinations (NBE), New Delhi, under the aegis of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, GoI, on March 1, 2023 will be eligible to apply.

Age Limit

Candidates applying for the position should be less than 45 years of age on December 31, 2023.

Candidates can apply for the position from November 18, 2023.
