IMS Ghaziabad hosted the four-day AICTE- UKIERI Further Education Leadership and Management Training Workshop-II for the second consecutive year for academic leaders across India under the Technical Education Leadership Development Programme (TELDP).

Held from January 18-21, 2022, the inaugural session was graced by master trainers selected by AICTE. They were Urvashi Makkar, director, IMS Ghaziabadm Neelam Srivastava, professor and head, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Institute of Engineering & Technology, Lucknow, Vandana Arora, director and professor, Lloyd Institute of Management & Technology, Pooja Tripathi, professor and head, IT, Indraprastha Engineering College and Monica Verma, professor, IMS Engineering College. The first workshop was hosted by the institute from November 23-26, 2021.

A brainchild of AICTE to encourage academic excellence in technical education, the noteworthy UK-India Education and Research Initiative (UKIERI) started in April 2006 with the aim of enhancing educational linkages between India and the UK, a strategic priority for both the countries.

The rigorous initiative is witnessing participation of over 150 academic leaders in a series of eight different workshops conducted all across the country by 40 master trainers from across India, selected by AICTE with the vision to spread the leadership trainings throughout the country.

These workshops provide delegates with an overview of the key leadership and management challenges facing educational practitioners today, with a focus on the application of effective leadership and management techniques and their beneficial impact on departmental and institutional performance.
