Institute of Management Studies (IMS) Ghaziabad hosted an online session on “Entrepreneurship Development & Dream Fulfillment Program by Oriflame”, recently. The session was organised for the PGDM students of the institute and was envisioned by the Corporate Development and Excellence Centre (CDEC), under the leadership of the director, Urvashi Makkar.
The aim of this session was to provide students with a meaningful platform to venture on their entrepreneurial journey.
Frederic Sebastian Widell, VP and head of South Asia and managing director, India, Oriflame, who was the expert resource speaker, spoke to the inquisitive students where he discussed the various prospects of working with the Swedish beauty company and becoming an official brand partner of the organisation.
Makkar on the other hand highlighted that the current VUCA environment sparked by the ongoing pandemic has contributed as a catalyst for launching of numerous entrepreneurial ventures in almost all spheres of business.
According to her, though there is no ready recipe for success as an entrepreneur, yet if an individual takes initiative, exhibits risk taking ability and is able to assess the next step that needs to be taken depending upon the prevailing market scenario ahead of the competitor, then he is on the right track of entrepreneurial success.
