The Institute of Management Studies (IMS) Ghaziabad organised a two-day value-added certification programme on Digital and Social Media Marketing by the ministry Of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) for PGDM 2021-2023 students.
The programme was conducted towards the end of December 2021, and saw the attendance of more than 200 students.
The training programme, envisioned by the institute’s director, Urvashi Makkar, was conducted under the umbrella of ‘Skill Enhancement and Corporate Readiness’. It is an initiative undertaken by the institute with the objective to improve the corporate readiness and employability of students.
The expert resource speaker for the session was the corporate trainer Bhawana Bhardwaj. Using an interactive pedagogy having a combination of simulation exercises, real time case studies and corporate examples, she deftly explained how to leverage the vast potential of various digital platforms and social media handles for generating competitive advantage.
The guest speaker for the session was Abhishek Mukherjee, founder and director, Knowledge Talks, who highlighted that mastering the numerous tools of digital marketing is no longer a choice for individuals and organizations, rather it was a ‘must have’. Coordinated by Surabhi Singh, chief coordinator, Value-Added Certification Programmes, and Pushpender Kumar, the certification programme equipped the students with knowledge and experience for implementation of digital tools at various social media platforms.
