Summary
The online counselling for admission to undergraduate medical courses based on the NEET UG 2024 result is expected to start by the end of this month, official sources said, as per the PTI.
For All India Quota (AIQ) seats, MBBS and BDS counselling will be conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) and for state quota seats, it will be managed by the respective state authorities.

Earlier this month, the PTI had cited official sources as indicating at the end of this month for the release of online counselling for admission to undergraduate medical courses based on the NEET UG 2024 result. For All India Quota (AIQ) seats, MBBS and BDS counselling will be conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) and for state quota seats, it will be managed by the respective state authorities.

Initially, the counselling session was anticipated to begin in the first week of July. However, the counselling authorities have not yet notified any specific date or schedule.

"The date of counselling will be announced once the exercise gets over to ensure seats of the new colleges can be taken up in the first round itself," an official source stated to the PTI. They indicated that the counselling process might begin later this month.
