Amidst the pandemic in 2020, the event adapted to virtual formats, emphasizing the importance of digital connectivity in times of crisis. By early 2021, IMC delved into 6G technology, when 5G was in its infancy. As the trajectory moved upward, in 2022, IMC achieved another milestone when Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi launched 5G in India.
Now at the 7th Edition with a new theme titled, “Global Digital Innovation,” IMC 2023 is set to continue its successful journey, reaffirming India's commitment to shaping a digitally inclusive and innovative future. IMC 2023's agenda is structured around four key themes: Next-Gen Wireless, Canvo Tech, Tech Forward, and Connectivity Solutions, covering topics like generative AI, Industry 4.0, network automation, cybersecurity, and more. The fifth theme, Empower Edge, focuses on the empowerment of different sections of society through verticals like Digital Inclusion, Green Tech, Skilling, Start-ups, and Women in Tech, further reflecting the event’s potential to contribute to India's digital inclusivity and global tech leadership.
The event spotlight will be on pivotal technologies like 5G, 6G, drones, satellites, and green tech. Moreover, IMC 2023 places considerable emphasis on India's semiconductor industry, advocating for 'Design in India' and 'Make in India' strategies. Special attention is given to exploring AI's role in reshaping various sectors through advancements in machine learning, natural language processing, and data analytics. Also, workshops featuring cutting-edge technologies like AI and IoT, coupled with discussions on digital inclusion and green initiatives, underscore IMC’s holistic approach to fostering technological innovation and entrepreneurship.
