In a recent announcement, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee, the organising body for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) has revised the registration schedule for GATE 2025. The registration process, initially slated to begin on August 24, 2024, has now been postponed to August 28, 2024.
Revised Schedule
While the registration date has been pushed back, the other key dates for GATE 2025 remain unchanged. The examination is still scheduled for February 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025.
How to Apply
Interested candidates can register for GATE 2025 online through the GOAPS (Gate Online Application Processing System). Once the registration window opens, applicants will need to provide their personal and academic details, upload necessary documents, and pay the application fee.
GATE is a national-level examination conducted jointly by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and the Indian Institutes of Science (IISc) Bengaluru. It is primarily for admission to postgraduate programmes (ME/MTech/PhD) offered by IITs, IISc, and other institutions. Additionally, many public sector undertakings (PSUs) use GATE scores for recruitment.
