In the first phase of its placements, IIT Mandi received 249 job offers from 88 different organisations, this even included 70 pre-placement offers. As of now, the institute has also received 19 international offers from different top notch organisations. When weighed against last year, there has taken place a 50 per cent increase in the number of job offers and another 25 percent increase in PPOs.
Nearly 140 national and international organisations have registered in its placement procedure till now and more will be registering, as claimed by the institute. The first session of its placements will continue till the end of December. The top recruiters that participated in its placement drive were Walmart, Uber, Amazon, Flipkart, Oracle, Indeed, Microsoft, Tata 1mg, Trilogy, Cashfree, Zomato, Adobe, Paytm, Rakuten, Sprinklr, HDFC, Schrodinger, Samsung Research Institute Bangalore, ODE, ICICI bank, and HPCL, amongst others.
An increment of nearly 18 percent in average CTC and 24 percent in a median of 26 lakhs has taken place when weighed against last year. The highest domestic package observed till now is above 60 lakhs. The placement drive took place both physically and virtually according to the convenience of the recruiter.
