The Centre for Innovation (CFI) at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras has opened registration to witness Open House 2022, an event where the recent projects and accomplishments of the student innovators of the institute will be showcased.

CFI will be hosting Open House as a hybrid event from the Terrace Hall on the campus on March 13 from 12.45 pm. The event will serve as a platform for students to connect with experts and prominent industrialists.

It will also be accessible on a Metaverse platform called ‘Gather Town’ to a limited audience this year. The deadline for registration is March 12.

CFI, a student lab established in 2008, was set up with a vision to encourage engineers to apply knowledge from their academic pursuits to innovate and propose solutions to real-world problems.

It is currently India's largest student-run innovation lab and is home to 13 clubs and four competing teams.
