The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur) is gearing up to announce the Joint Entrance Examination Advanced (JEE Advanced) 2025 registration date for candidates who secure a place in the top 2.5 lakh rankings in JEE Main 2025. Based on previous schedules, registration is expected to commence by April.
One of the most significant updates is a change in the number of attempts: candidates can now attempt the JEE Advanced up to three times beginning with the 2025 session.
According to the official JEE Advanced website, launched on November 5, further information including notifications, exam schedules, and additional guidelines will be available soon at jeeadv.ac.in.
Eligibility Criteria for JEE Advanced 2025
- Candidates should rank among the top 2.5 lakh in JEE Main 2025’s BE/ BTech Paper 1.
- In adherence to reservation norms, 10% of seats are reserved for General-EWS candidates, 27% for OBC-NCL, 15% for SC, 7.5% for ST, and 40.5% for open category candidates.
- Each category also includes a 5% horizontal reservation for PwD candidates.
JEE Advanced 2025 Syllabus Highlights
- Mathematics: Sets, Relations, and Functions; Algebra; Matrices; Probability and Statistics; Trigonometry; Analytical Geometry; Differential and Integral Calculus; Vectors.
- Chemistry: Core areas include States of Matter, Atomic Structure, Chemical Bonding, Thermodynamics, Chemical Kinetics, Organic Chemistry, and Environmental Chemistry, among other topics.
- Physics: Units and Dimensions, Mechanics, Thermal Physics, Electricity and Magnetism, Electromagnetic Waves, Optics, and Modern Physics.
Only those who qualify in JEE Main 2025 will be eligible for JEE Advanced 2025 a gateway to admission in IITs across India.
