The annual national-level hackathon, Hack & Reboot 2.0, is now accepting applications at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur. The IIT Kanpur website, iitk.ac.in, has information for interested candidates.
The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) is hosting Hack and Reboot 2.0 as part of the TIDE 2.0 programme. This has been established to provide financial and technical support to technology entrepreneurs engaged in the development of emerging technologies.
Under the TIDE 2.0 initiative, a prototype fund will be given to the chosen ideas in the healthcare and clean energy fields. The application window for Hack and Reboot 2.0 will be open until 18 December 2022, per the IIT Kanpur official calendar. The pitch presentation round will then take place at the IIT Kanpur Outreach Center in Noida.
Candidates must select a proposed problem statement from the SIIC website or submit their own in order to participate. They must then create prototypes that specifically solve that problem statement. The winning team will receive Rs 7 lakh, the runner-up Rs 6 lakh, and the third place team Rs 5 lakh.
