On 11 April 2023, IIT Guwahati began accepting online applications for admission to IITs and NITs through the IIT JAM 2023 programme. Earlier, 25 April 2023 was the deadline for submitting an application for the admissions process.
The deadline to submit an application for IIT JAM 2023 Admission to IITs (including payment and choice filling) has been extended to 5:00 PM on 27 April 2023, according to a recent tweet from IIT JAM 2023 administrators.
Additionally, they stated that no additional extensions would be given after that. Candidates can apply for admission to IITs and NITs for the academic year 2023 if they have passed the exam and satisfied all other requirements established by the participating institutes.
Normally, there will be four rounds of admission. Additional rounds might be held if seats are still available. In order to choose one of the three alternatives (a) Accept and Freeze, applicants must log in to the official website within the allotted period after getting an offer in any of the rounds. (b) Accept while Upgrading (c) Deny and give up.
The First Admission List will be out on or before 1 June 2023, based on the candidate's preferred order specified on the admission form and the matching rank(s) on the merit list.
The Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) conduct the Joint Admission Test for MSc on behalf of the Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), Government of India, on a rotating basis each year. Integrated Ph.D. programmes are given by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, and other postgraduate programmes at IITs. IIT JAM is held to provide admission to students for these programmes.
