The Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad, inaugurated a start-up in robotics on November 23.
ADUZA Robotics Automation Pvt. Ltd was incubated at the Centre for Innovation, Incubation, and Entrepreneurship (CIIE), IIT (ISM). The company has been founded by Arun Dayal Udai and Zafar Alam, who are full-time faculty in the Mechanical Engineering department at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, and its chief technical officer Ashish Siddharth is a full-time PhD scholar at the same institute.
ADUZA has been recognised as a start-up by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) as a technology hardware company. The company can supply customised technology hardware in the domain of robotics and automation through Government e-Marketplace (GeM) or through open channels.
“With diverse experience in teaching Robotics and Automation as their core subjects, the founders intend to serve academic institutions with fully customisable robotics and automation solutions,” IIT (ISM) director Rajiv Shekhar said.
To catch up with the latest in robotics and automation, ADUZA has now commercialised products that they have developed over the past few years as part of academic research. These products have been developed to suit any standard robotics and automation lab and can be customised to suit any research lab or any industry.
“Understanding the scarcity of dedicated teachers and the lack of state-of-the-art facilities in various universities across India, ADUZA has also developed a set of advanced courses in the Robotics and Automation. The entire range of products, services and courses provided by ADUZA can be found on the official website https://aduza.in,” said Rajni Singh, dean, media and branding, IIT (ISM).
The start-up offers courses in Industrial Automation and Industrial Robotics with Python. The products developed by the start-up are ruggedised for industrial use and have an open architecture for easy expansion and support integration to a diverse set of hardware and software in any developed lab. They can also be customised to meet customer requirements.
“The start-up offers complete laboratory setups in Robotics, Automation and Internet of Things for any upcoming university. We provide customised robotics and automation solution to industry and academia. We also provide online courses that suits undergraduate and post graduate students in India and abroad in robotics and automation,” said Arun Dayal Udai, co-founder of the start-up.
