IIT Delhi will hold its 52nd convocation on November 13. Padmasree Warrior, a distinguished alumna and founder and CEO, Fable, will be the chief guest at the convocation.

Warrior, who is also a board member of Microsoft and Spotify, and R. Chidambaram, chairperson, Board of Governors, IIT Delhi, will address the graduating students.

IIT Delhi director V. Ramgopal Rao will present the director’s report on this occasion.

Anant Yardi, President and Founder of Yardi Systems, and an alumnus of IIT Delhi, has agreed to gift 10 million US dollaers (Rs 75 Crore) to the institute, Rao said on the eve of the convocation.

Yardi’s gift would enable IIT Delhi to create state-of-the art laboratories and attract talented students and researchers to its newly established School of Artificial Intelligence (ScAI).

At the 52nd convocation ceremony, 2,117 graduating students will be awarded their degrees.

Meritorious graduating students will be awarded the President’s Gold Medal, Director’s Gold Medal, Perfect Ten Gold Medal, the Institute Silver Medal and the awards instituted by donors.

The Distinguished Alumni Award (DAA) will be presented to six alumni, the Graduates of Last Decade (GOLD) Award to four alumni and the Distinguished Alumni Service Award (DASA) will be presented to one alumnus.
