Exam Pattern
- Duration and Mode: The IAT 2024 will be held in a computer-based format for three hours (180 minutes).
- Sections and Questions: The exam comprises a total of 60 questions - 15 questions each from Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics.
- Marking Scheme: Each correct answer will earn the candidate four marks. However, there is a negative marking scheme in place, with one mark deducted for each incorrect answer.
- Total Marks: The total maximum score possible is 240, calculated from 60 questions.
This examination acts as a gateway for students aspiring to pursue a four-year BS in Engineering Sciences and Economic Sciences at IISER Bhopal and five-year BS-MS programmes at the various campuses of IISER (Berhampur, Bhopal, Kolkata, Mohali, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram, and Tirupati).
