The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore has commenced the application process for its Master of Technology (MTech) programme specialising in Robotics and Autonomous Systems. Aspiring candidates can now submit their applications through the official website, admissions.iisc.ac.in, until March 22, 2024.

- Proceed to click on ‘Apply now.’
- Fill out the application form and upload the requisite documents.
- Finally, submit the application and retain a printout for future reference.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have qualified for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) or the Common Foreign Trade and Investment (CFTI) examination, maintaining a minimum CGPA of 8.0.
Notably, the results for GATE 2024 are slated to be announced on March 16, following the examination held on February 3, 4, 10, and 11, respectively.
Programme Highlights
The MTech programme at IISc Bangalore offers a comprehensive curriculum covering various facets of robotics, including control and optimisation, artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning, perception and planning, as well as modeling and simulation. Selected candidates will benefit from hands-on training consisting of robot programming and simulation frameworks such as Gazebo, ROS and Rapid Prototyping.
Moreover, they will have the opportunity to engage in collaborative research projects bridging academia and industry, thereby gaining valuable industry exposure.
Course Fee
The fee structure for the MTech programme in Robotics and Autonomous Systems at IISc Bangalore is ₹18,000, as well as a one-time admission fee of ₹15,000.
Applicants shortlisted for the interview round will receive notifications through the IISc admission portal and are required to present necessary documents during the interview process. Additionally, special provisions are in place for candidates belonging to specific categories such as SC/ ST, OBC, EWS, PwD and Kashmiri migrants.
