The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Lucknow is gearing up to host the Common Admission Test (CAT 2023) on November 26, 2023 for IIM management programmes. Candidates must secure their CAT admit cards from the official website, iimcat.ac.in, and present them at the designated exam centre.
Scheduled across 155 cities, candidates are urged to arrive well in advance for the exam, which spans three shifts, lasting a duration of 2 hours each. As the CAT cut-off percentiles vary across different IIMs, candidates must achieve the institute-specific minimum to progress to subsequent selection phases.
CAT score is one of the components of the selection criteria for MBA admission to IIMs. Each IIM will announce its own admission process which will include Written Ability Test (WBT), group discussion (GD) and interview rounds. Previous academic performance and work experience also factor into the institutes' comprehensive selection criteria.
CAT 2023 percentile
A percentile ranging from 95 to 100 is deemed commendable in the CAT score spectrum. However, annual variations in cut-offs, influenced by factors like candidate numbers, exam difficulty, and historical trends, make understanding the lowest qualifying overall percentile crucial for prospective students.
Navigating Sectional Challenges in CAT 2023
With the CAT question paper structured into verbal ability and reading comprehension (VARC), data interpretation and logical reasoning (DILR), and quantitative aptitude (QA) sections, candidates need insights into category-wise and section-wise expected cut-offs to strategically approach this competitive examination.
