The establishment of the Professional Certificate Programme in Hospital Management has been welcomed by Dr Devi Shetty, Chair of the Board of Governors of IIM Bangalore and Founder-Chairman of the Narayana Group of Hospitals, as a "dream come true."

Dr K Sudhakar, Ministry for Health and Medical Education remarked, “We need good management to ensure the delivery of healthcare services to the satisfaction of patients. I am delighted that the transformation of healthcare delivery in the country will start from here, at IIMB.”

The initiative, which began on National Doctors' Day, intends to assist healthcare professionals, mid-level managers, healthcare consultants, entrepreneurs, and business leaders, according to the statement. The new course, according to Sudhakar, would make the health care system integrative at both private and government hospitals.
