The Summer Internship Placement process for the PGP and PGP-BA 2024-26 cohorts at IIM Bangalore has concluded successfully, with all 601 participating students securing offers from 140 organisations during the week of 21-26 October 2024. This year's placements covered a range of domains, including Consulting, Finance, Product Management, Sales and Marketing, General Management, and Analytics.

Prof Nishant Verma, Chairperson of Career Development Services, commended the students for their exceptional performance and praised the meticulous management of the process by the Placement Committee and the CDS Office. He expressed enthusiasm for further collaboration with recruiting firms.

Tapas Ranjan Pati, Head of Career Development Services, noted that Management Consulting continues to be the preferred choice for students, comprising 38% of the offers, with Accenture Strategy making a significant contribution to the placements.

The placement statistics reveal a strong inclination towards consulting roles, with 230 offers from 22 firms, including major players such as Accenture Strategy and Boston Consulting Group. The finance sector followed closely, with 88 offers from 31 firms, while IT, FMCG, and various other sectors also provided a wealth of opportunities for students.

The achievement of the highest number of offers within just two days highlights IIM Bangalore's esteemed standing among Indian business schools and reflects the confidence that recruiters have in the calibre of its students. This impressive outcome not only underscores the effectiveness of the placement process but also sets a promising precedent for future cohorts.
