Indian Institute of Management Calcutta has welcomed its 16th batch of one-year full-time MBA for Executives Programme (MBAEx). The MBAEx programme aims to mould bright and dynamic leaders by leveraging peer-to-peer learning and industry exposure. With this vision, 78 individuals were handpicked to create a balance of young, aspiring leaders and seasoned veterans from various industries. The average age for the batch is 31.3 years and the average work experience is close to 8.5 years.
The batch displays immense diversity representing a plethora of industries such as information technology (IT), automobiles, energy & power, banking, finance, oil & gas, e-commerce, consulting, manufacturing, fashion, Defence, entertainment, healthcare, NGO, education, consumer durables and many more.
To add to this, the cohort embodies an impactful footprint in terms of international experience in countries such as the US, UK, Liberia, Belgium, UAE, Mauritius, Kenya, New Zealand, Oman, South Africa, Australia etc. The cohort isn’t limited to academic and professional successes only; the batch brings in extra-curricular talents in the form of singers, artists, writers, content creators, humanitarian volunteers, photographers, adventure enthusiasts, dancers, and more. Adding to the diversity, the batch contingent this year is composed of members from 21 different cities of the country.
Welcoming the 16th batch, Pragyan Rath, chairperson, MBAEx said "Since its inception in 2006, the MBAEx programme at IIM Calcutta has come a long way in gaining global recognition for imparting quality education. This indeed is the true objective of the MBA for Executives management programme."
MBA for Executives Programme is IIM Calcutta's one-year, full-time residential programme meant for executives with more than five years of professional experience. It provides mid-career professionals the ideal platform to augment their existing skill sets as they endeavour to armour themselves for senior and top management roles in the industry.
