The registration process for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024 exam is set to conclude today, i.e., September 20, following an extension granted by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Calcutta. This extension allowed aspiring management students additional time to complete the application submission process. Candidates who have not yet completed their registration can do so through the official website until 5 PM.

This year's CAT is scheduled for November 24, with the release of admit cards on November 5, 2024.

How to Apply

  • Visit the official website at iimcat.ac.in.
  • If you are a new user, complete registration to obtain the login credentials.
  • Login and proceed to fill out the application form.
  • Upload the required documents.
  • Select five from options of over 170 test cities, as your exam centre preferences.
  • Submit the prescribed application fee through online payment options.
  • Review all information carefully before final submission.
  • Take a printout of the form for future reference.

Registration Fee

Candidates belonging to the SC/ST/PwD category will have to pay a non-refundable amount of ₹1250, whereas, the others will pay ₹2500 as their registration fee. During the registration process applicants must note that they need to pay the fee only once, irrespective of the number of institutes they are applying for.

The CAT is a computer-based management aptitude test conducted annually by one of the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs). As per Indian Government norms, IIMs will reserve 15% of seats for SC candidates, 7.5% of seats for ST candidates, 27% of seats for NC-OBC candidates, up to 10% of seats for EWS candidates, and 5% of seats are also reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities.
