IIM Calcutta: Admission open for Strategic Management for Corporate Leaders programme

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta is accepting appications for admission to its advanced programme in Strategic Management for Corporate Leaders.

IIM Calcutta is known for its expert faculty members in Strategic Management area. The programme has evolved over the last 14 batches and is one of the longest-running Strategic Management programmes.

Mritiunjoy Mohanty, programme director, said the course will help working professionals and entrepreneurs. “Strategy is increasingly becoming a business differentiator in today’s VUCA – Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, Ambiguous and competitive business environment, where new age business models are threatening age-old established business models and Corporations. Strategy leverages the power of individuals, organisations and markets in a cohesive manner to improve the effectiveness of an organisation. It is a skill and a craft which sets you apart by changing the rules of the game,” he said.

The programme has a series of practitioner-interaction sessions. The students will work in teams and undertake organisation-based specialised or comprehensive projects of their choice. They will be guided and mentored by IIMC faculty. Projects will be presented and submitted during the final four-day campus module.

“This programme equips middle to senior-level managers, business leaders and entrepreneurs in effectively dealing with complex and competitive industry environments. It builds analytical, strategic thinking and decision-making competencies and helps them excel within their domains and helps them transform into a strategic leader,” said Biswatosh Saha, programme director.

Working professionals and entrepreneurs with more than seven years’ work experience and 50% or more marks in graduation or post-graduation are eligible. It is an online advanced programme of six months and classes are held every Monday from 6.30pm to 9.30pm.
