The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Amritsar has launched a new post graduate certificate programme in Data Science & Business Analytics (DSBA) from 2022. The deadline for submitting the completed application form is March 15, 2022.
It is a 12-month programme designed to help fresh graduates and early career professionals with up to two years work experience. The programme will build a robust foundation in Data Science and Business Analytics to advance career progression. The curriculum will include case-based interactive sessions, assignments periodic evaluations and projects.
Selection process:
- Applicants will be shortlisted based on their performance in DSBA Aptitude Test (DAT), consistent past academic performance, and progressive work experience (if any) credentials.
- DAT will consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) that will focus on logical reasoning, data interpretation and basic mathematical concepts.
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for an online personal interview (PI).
- The interview panel will evaluate the suitability of the candidates for the program and their potential to excel inthe field.
The aptitude test will be held on April 17, 2022. The online interview sessions are scheduled to be held between May 9 and May 13, 2022. The programme will be delivered predominantly at the IIM Amritsar campus from July 05, 2022.
This programme provides an avant-garde curriculum focusing on the required tools and techniques to formulate, analyse and find solutions to business problems. The course intends to upskill the young minds who have a zeal to excel in this field in upcoming times when the demand for skilled professionals trained in data science and analytics will further increase.
During the 12 months of the programme, students will develop foundational to advanced understanding of these fields using in-demand tools and techniques, case studies, and capstone projects.
Eligibility criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with minimum 55% marks, familiarity with high-school mathematics and strong oral and written communication skills
- Up to two years of work experience after completion of graduation (preferred not mandatory)
A non-refundable application fee of Rs 1,500 has to be paid electronically at the time of submitting the application form.
