Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad has announced the winners of its 7th Young Alumni Achiever’s Award 2021 (YAAA 2021). The awards are given to alumni under the age of 45 in recognition of their outstanding achievements and contributions.
Announcing the winners, IIM Ahmedabad director Errol D’Souza said, “Our alumni continue to make us proud with their accomplishments across diverse fields. The IIM-A Young Alumni Achievers Awards have been instituted to acknowledge and reward their distinction and contributions in making an impact in their chosen careers. I congratulate the winners for 2021 with the confidence that more alumni will emulate their success in the years ahead and bring laurels to their alma mater.”
The awards are categorised into corporate leadership, entrepreneurship and social/public services. Under the corporate leadership category, the winners are Saurabh Sancheti, (PGP-2009) Group CFO, Jio Platforms and Anant Daga, (PGP-2001) managing director, TCNS Clothing Co.
Sandeep Kumar Gupta, (PGP-2011) co-founder and COO of Innovaccer, will be awarded under the entrepreneurship category. Those being honoured under the social/public service category are Kaushlendra, (PGDABM-2007) founder, Kaushalya Foundation & Samriddhii; and Dhaval Jain, (PGP-2012) an officer of the Indian Administrative Service.
IIM Ahmedabad’s dean of Alumni and External Relations, Saral Mukherjee, said, “The Young Alumni Achiever’s Awards were instituted in 2015 at IIM-A. Every year, we have a difficult task of choosing the winners from this large pool of talented IIM-A alumni. They continue to amaze us with their work, their ideas and the value addition they make to their work and their respective organizations. We are proud of their accomplishments and hope that the current and future students will be inspired by their success.”
IIM Ahmedabad claims to have a strong network of more than 40,000 alumni spread across India and worldwide. Several of the alumni have made their mark in different fields and have earned accolades for their contributions in diverse fields and in turn strengthened the IIM Ahmedabad brand as a premier management institution. The alumni of IIM Ahmedabad are engaged closely with their alma mater by participating and supporting several activities by giving their time, thought and resources.
