The new chartered accountant curriculum for the CA Foundation, CA Intermediate, and CA Final levels is anticipated to be released by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) in July 2023.

Aniket Talati, president of ICAI, announced during a press conference that the curriculum, which is awaiting permission from the Centre, will be introduced in July, the institute's 75th anniversary month. To ensure that CA students may become "global professionals," the curriculum was created.

According to Talatia, the curriculum has been revised to conform with the National Education Policy 2020, which calls for the inclusion of multidisciplinary education as well as credit accumulation and transfer based on MCRAs with educational institutions. One or two exams can be taken by a student to earn credits and certification.

Additionally, an emphasis on technology has emerged in the CA curriculum. Talatia elaborated on how technology was included in the curriculum when she said: "The institution has begun providing training to registered members on disruptive technologies like blockchain, artificial intelligence, and data science. Additionally, it will have a significant place in our new curriculum. Technology will now be included in all articles.

The institute has agreements with seven Indian Institutes of Management (IIM) and two Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT), out of a total of 111 higher education institutions, that recognise the CA qualification for admission to the PhD programme. The ICAI has additional plans to expand the scope of the business and accounting courses that will be taught in schools.

The articleship tenure was previously three years, but the ICAI has reduced it to two years. After earning an academic degree, candidates for chartered accountant must complete the CA Articleship, a practical training course.
