Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan launched the Open Language Learning Resources (OLLRs) in five languages at the English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU) in Hyderabad. The university developed the tools to learn 5 languages easily and free of cost from anywhere. The OLLRs launched today include Chinese, French, German, Japanese and Spanish.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan inaugurated the Open Language Learning Resources (OLLRs) in five different languages at the English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU) on Monday.
Present on the occasion the minister urged EFLU to foster a language learning ecosystem for the ones who are coming to India too. He further mentioned about all Indian languages being national languages and asked the University to play the role of a catalyst in developing a language network. Assuring the Central government’s commitment towards education he informed that by next year the ministry would have 200 education TV channels. Quality content would thereafter be developed in multilingual languages to play a key role in technology. Pradhan even called upon the EFLU to play its part in preparing human resources and thereafter make them a source of knowledge as India looks forward to be a world leader in academics.
Prior to this event Mr Pradhan had also inaugurated the amphitheater and multi purpose sports complex of the campus. Dr Lakshman, member of Rajya Sabha even informed that more than 3000 posts in higher education have been filled in the span of 6 years. He urged the university to fill up all of its vacant seats, especially the ones belonging to the reserve category.
