The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) Focus edition test has now started, offering aspiring students admission to over 2,400 B-schools around the globe. This rigorous examination requires candidates to tackle 64 questions distributed across three sections: quantitative reasoning, verbal reasoning, and data insights. Specifically, the quantitative reasoning section comprises 21 questions, while the verbal reasoning and data insights sections each contain 23 and 20 questions, respectively. Test-takers are allotted 45 minutes to complete each section.

Notably, candidates are granted the flexibility to alter answers for up to three questions per section and can also bookmark questions for later review. Following the exam, they will have the opportunity to preview their unofficial scores for each section.

Students eager to obtain their GMAT scores for 2023 can expect to receive them within a timeframe ranging from five to 20 days. Typically, GMAT results are released within five to seven days, though certain circumstances may necessitate the extended processing period. These scores will remain valid for five years, facilitating admission into B-schools.

Furthermore, candidates are permitted to take the GMAT five times within a single year, provided that there is a 16-day interval between each attempt. It is important to note that no student can exceed eight GMAT attempts in their lifetime.

One distinctive feature of the GMAT is its computer-adaptive nature, which tailors the test's difficulty level based on the candidate's performance. This precision allows the assessment of a candidate's potential with a high degree of accuracy. In practice, if a candidate answers the first question correctly, subsequent questions will become progressively more challenging. Conversely, an incorrect response will lead to questions of moderate difficulty until the section is completed.
