Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) are businesses that run like private businesses and share profits with their various governments. They are owned by the Government of India or state governments. Based on the candidates' results in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), PSU Recruitment through GATE is conducted each year to fill a variety of technical roles in these organisations.

The selection of candidates for different PSU positions will be based on their GATE 2023 scores. Candidates must obtain scores higher than both the GATE 2023 Cutoff and the cutoffs set by each employer for a position in order to be shortlisted for PSU employment.

Another key feature of PSU recruitment through GATE is that, despite the fact that GATE scores are valid for three years, these organisations will only take the score from the current year. For three years, PSU recruitment cannot use GATE results.
