The National Testing Agency (NTA) has opened the Graduate Aptitude Test- Biotechnology (GAT-B) and Biotechnology Eligibility Test (BET 2023) online application window today i.e. 8 April 2023. The correction window will remain open till 11:50 pm on 9 April 2023.

The exam will be a computer-based test (CBT) mode and the medium of question paper will be English. The GAT-B and GAT-BET exam will be conducted for a duration for 3 hours each in separate shifts. The first shift will be for GAT-B candidates which will take place from 9 am to 12 pm. While the second shift will be for GAT-BET applicants starting from 3 pm and concluding at 6 pm.

  • MTech programme candidates will be required to have a BTech or BE degree with a minimum of 60% (general, EWS and OBC category) or 55% (SC,ST and PwD) aggregate
  • MSc programme candidates who have completed their graduation in the respective field with a minimum of 60% (general, EWS and OBC category) or 55% (SC,ST and PwD) aggregate from a recognized university

GAT-B and GAT-BET is held for admission to department of biotechnology supported by postgraduate (PG) programme in Biotechnology and allied areas in participating Institutions (GAT-B) and for award of DBT – Junior Research Fellowship (DBT-JRF) for pursuing research in frontier areas of Biotechnology (BET).
