The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has revealed that the Foreign Medical Graduate Exam (FMGE) for 2024 is anticipated to take place in January 2024. Aspiring candidates are advised to stay updated through the official website, natboard.edu.in.
The FMGE 2024 exam will be administered online in Computer Based Test (CBT) format at multiple test centers across the nation. The precise date and time for the FMGE 2024 exam are yet to be announced.
The official notice stated, “The applicants who are desirous to appear in next Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) are hereby informed that National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) shall conduct the next FMGE tentatively in January 2024 on a Computer Based Platform at various test centres across the country”,
The FMGE 2024 exam will consist of a total of 300 multiple-choice questions divided into two sections, with candidates having 150 minutes for each section. The December session of the FMGE 2023 exam is expected to be held in 40 test cities across India.
To be eligible for the FMGE, candidates must be medical graduates with their primary medical qualification from abroad and either Indian citizens or overseas citizens of India.
The FMGE exam serves as a screening test for medical graduates seeking to practice medicine in India. NBEMS conducts this exam twice a year for Indian and Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs) aiming to obtain the registration certificate from the National Medical Commission (NMC) or State Medical Council (SMC).
