The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) has released the first admission list for the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) 2024 today, May 30. Candidates who met or exceeded the JAM 2024 cut-off marks were eligible to apply for JAM 2024 counselling. The first admission list can be downloaded from the official JOAPS portal.

The IIT JAM 2024 first admission list has been prepared based on applications from candidates who scored above the cut-off. Candidates can check the opening and closing ranks for each category to confirm their seats at participating institutes. Participants in the IIT JAM 2024 counselling must decide whether to accept and freeze, accept and upgrade their seat, or reject and withdraw from the process.

The deadline for paying the seat booking fee for the first list is June 4, 2024. The second admission list will be published on June 12, with the third and fourth lists scheduled for June 21 and July 5, respectively.

Candidates accepting their allotted seats must pay a seat booking fee. The fee is ₹10,000 for General and OBC categories, and ₹5,000 for SC, ST, and PH categories. The JAM 2024 counseling is being conducted for over 3,000 seats across 89 postgraduate programmes at 21 IITs, coordinated by IIT Madras for the 2024-25 academic year.

Candidates had to pay a non-refundable application fee of ₹750 to participate. Results and scorecards can be accessed using enrolment IDs or email IDs through the official portal.
