The conference was chaired by higher education leaders and academicians

Federation of Education Leaders and Administrators (FELA) Foundation recently organised a national level e-conference to focus on the pros and cons of the Central University Entrance Test (CUET) UG through which admissions will be done to various central and state varsities across India this year.

Titled ‘Transforming the education system in India’, the conference saw participation of senior academic community members, industry leaders and policymakers who analysed the process and the benefits of the CUET exams and gave their valuable insights.

The insights from experts during the conference were shared with the University Grants Commission (UGC), All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Union ministry of education, FELA Foundation stated in a press communique.

V N Rajasekheran Pillai, vice-chancellor of Somaiya Vidya Vihar University, Mumbai was present in the conference with other higher education leaders and panellists. Sandeep Sancheti, vice-chancellor, Marwadi University, Rajkot, Gujarat; Ajay Rana, vice-chancellor, Shobhit University, Meerut (UP); Srihari Honwad, vice-chancellor, Sir Padampat University, Udaipur (Rajasthan); Raghuvir Singh, vice-chancellor, Teerthankar Mahaveer University, Moradabad (UP); Abhay Kumar, vice-chancellor, Pratap University, Jaipur (Rajasthan); S K Mehta, vice-chancellor, The University of Ladakh; R K Singh, vice-chancellor ICFAI University, Dehradun (Uttarakhand); and Manjula Jain, associate dean, Academics TMU, Moradabad (UP) attended the conference.

FELA-Foundation aims to furnish and publish the assessment report based on the conference and submit it to the Central and the state governments.
