Ensuring smooth operations, Kolkata Metro Railway, over the last 10 years, has recruited the 750 candidates through the Railway Recruitment Board and 129 candidates through the Railway Recruitment Cell.
“From 2014 to 2023, recruitments through Railway Recruitment Board have taken place in different categories. Metro Railway has been recruiting the efficient staff for ensuring better services for the common people. Filling up of the vacancies through RRB and RRC ensures transparency and probity to the recruitment process,” said Kausik Mitra, Chief Public Relations officer at Kolkata Metro Railway.

“Through the railway recruitment board, Kolkata Metro Railway has recruited Traffic Asst Sr. Section Engineer/P.WAY, Junior Engineer, Traffic Asst, Technician, Junior and Senior Clerk Cum Typist and Depot Material Superintendent while through the Railway Recruitment Cell, the Kolkata Metro Railway has recruited for posts like Helper/Elect, Track Maintainer Grade IV, Asst. Pointsman, Helper/S&T and Hospital Assistant,” said Mitra.
“It not only helps Metro Railway but also contributes a lot to ease out the unemployment problem,” he added.
He, however has also warned the job seekers of frauds and said that Kolkata Metro Railway recruits only through RRB and RRC for its different non-gazetted posts.
“The recruitment process is transparent and on money is required to get a job with Kolkata Metro Railway. People are requested not to fall into the trap of fake job racketeers,” said Mitra.
