BYJU’s, the multinational edtech firm headquartered in Bengaluru, has joined hands with Coimbatore-based nonprofit Isha Vidhya to provide digital learning tools to underprivileged children in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.
BYJU’s bid to empower and provide children across geographies with equal learning opportunities has led to this collaboration.
Thanking BYJU’s, NGO Isha Vidhya wrote on its Facebook page, “BYJU’s, an Indian multinational educational technology company, offered their premium product (education videos and quizzes) to #IshaVidhya students of classes IV-XII for Math, Science and Social Science as a part of their outreach programme that benefitted over 4,000 students during online classes. This encouraged students to self-learn at their own pace and the quiz at the end of each lesson helped teachers gauge their progress.”
Established in 2006 under the umbrella of Isha Education trust, Isha Vidhya is committed to raising the level of education and literacy in rural India and helping disadvantaged children realize their full potential. The project seeks to ensure quality education for children in rural areas. Isha Vidhya’s English-medium schools use innovative methods for the overall development of each student.
According to a press release by BYJU’s on March 20, this initiative would make the nation known for high-quality school education that is accessible and affordable to all, especially children in rural areas.
