The Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal for DU UG admission 2022 was launched by the University of Delhi on 12 September 2022. Interested candidates can now register for undergraduate admission for the academic year 2022–2023 at ugadmission.uod.ac.in now that the DU admission portal is active.
Yogesh Singh, vice chancellor of Delhi University, stated that the next academic session is likely to start on 1 November 2022 during the launch of the CSAS 2022 portal. This marks the start of Delhi University's admissions process, which has been eagerly anticipated. Up until 3 October 2022, applicants may submit their DU 2022 application on the official website.
Candidates must visit the DU admission website and register by clicking the admission for undergraduate programmes link in order to apply for DU UG admission in 2022. They must provide all required information, mark sheets, photos, and signatures, as well as the registration fee.

Admission via ECA & Sports Quota
Vice Chancellor Yogesh Singh said on Monday that Delhi University will hold trials for applicants interested in admission through the extracurricular activities (ECA) and sports quotas after10 October 2022. A 25% weighting of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) score and a 75% weighting of certificates and trials will be applied to admission under the ECA and Sports Supernumerary Quotas.
The performance in physical trials and/or submitted certificates, as appropriate, will count toward the maximum 75 marks that can be earned for the ECA score. For all 12 categories (apart from NCC and NSS) with an ECA score of 75 marks, 60 marks will be given based on physical tests, and 15 marks will be given based on certificates submitted.
Delhi HC asked St. Stephen’s College to follow DU Admission Policy
St. Stephen's College challenged Delhi University's (DU) letter requesting that it delete its prospectus that awarded CUET and college interviews equal weights for admission to its unreserved seats in UG degrees, with CUET receiving a weight of 85% and 15%, respectively. The university's letter withdrawing the college prospectus for the academic year 2022–2023 was previously refused to be temporarily overturned by the high court.
On Monday, the Delhi High Court ordered St. Stephen's College to abide by the admissions guidelines established by Delhi University (DU) and to give the CUET 2022 score 100% of the weight when deciding which non-minority students to enroll on its undergraduate programmes.
However, according to a bench presided by Chief Justice Satish Chandra Sharma, "DU cannot insist upon a single merit list for admission of candidates belonging to Christian community regardless of denomination etc." The court, which included Justice Subramonium Prasad as well, ruled that non-minority admissions cannot be granted the fundamental right under Article 30(1) of the Constitution that is granted to a minority institution.
"Aided minority institutions are required to adhere to the rules and procedures of the aforementioned university. The court stated that the protection provided by Article 30 (1) "may be extended to the extent that it permits minority institutions to sub-classify the reservation granted to the minority community."
