DU Admission 2023 advisory for students has been issued by Delhi University recently. According to the advisory issued, DU has asked Common University Entrance Test (CUET) UG 2023 aspirants seeking undergraduate admissions to go through syllabi of different courses before choosing preferences on the university's admission portal.
“Before giving the preferences on the CSAS(UG) 2023 portal, the candidates are advised to go through the syllabi of all the programmes in which they wish to join the University if offered,” as stated in the advisory.
Delhi University is enrolling students to Undergraduate Courses on the basis of CUET UG scores, from 2022 onwards. Along with the CUET, the candidates are also now required to fill out the Common Seat Allocation System Undergraduate or CSAS UG 2023 form on admission.uod.ac.in.
In the CSAS form, candidates must fill in their preference of programme college.
The university authorities have directed the students to first check the syllabi of all the programmes as “it has been observed by the University that at times candidates opt for programmes with the sole purpose of taking admission to a certain college despite having any prior knowledge or proficiency that is required for pursuing the programme/area of study.”
“For example, for pursuing certain language-related programs, working knowledge/ proficiency in reading and writing in the specific language could be a prerequisite. Therefore, before giving the preferences on the CSAS(UG) 2023 portal, the candidates are advised to go through the syllabi of all the Programs in which they wish to join the University if offered,” the university said.
