In 20 colleges, the University of Delhi (DU) has established Career Development Centers (CDC). Under the joint auspices of DU and Samarth Bharat, the CDC has been established. The School of Open Learning (SOL) of the university, 20 associated colleges, Samarth Bharat, and the DU have signed agreements. Through these Career Development Centers, students will be rendered employable as part of this initiative.
Vice Chancellor of the University of Delhi, Professor Yogesh Singh, presided over the event and noted that this was just the beginning for students in higher education institutions to become familiar with the various kinds of talents needed.
The Vice-Chancellor stated that the centres will be essential in fostering an environment of creativity and imagination in higher education, adding that "the National Education Policy 2020 has made provision for skills and entrepreneurship in undergraduate courses."
Bharat Bhushan, a supporter of Samarth Bharat, provided comprehensive information on the organisation and its Career Development Center (CDC). He stated that the Samarth Bharat team currently operates 19 facilities in Delhi where 1500 individuals are receiving training. The majority of those taught at these facilities make between Rs. 15 and Rs. 50,000 per month. If the nation is to become self-sufficient, he claimed, the mentality must be altered.
