DU Admission 2022: More than 60,000 students accept DU seats

Delhi University (DU) released its first merit list through which until now 60,863 candidates have accepted the seats that have been allotted to them. Meanwhile, the admission process for 39,526 candidates is ongoing. DU announced on Wednesday the first list of seat allocations with the names of 80,164 candidates for admission to various undergraduate programmes.

The students have been provided with a three-day window from 19 October to 21 October to "accept" the allocated seat. However, the provision for acceptance of a particular allocated seat will be valid only for the round in which the seat was allocated to the candidate. The colleges will start their verification process and approve the online applications from 19 October to 22 October.

Additionally, according to Delhi university, more than 1.5 lakh applicants marked their college and course preferences till the last date for Phase II last week. The allocation list has not been issued in the public domain and the candidate will only be able to see the college and courses allotted to them on their dashboard.

For 2022 admissions, the university is admitting students on the basis of their Common University Entrance Test (CUET) scores instead of their Class 12 marks. On 12 September, the university released the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) for UG admissions.
