According to the students, Ukrainian universities have started their offline classes and have provided the necessary documents for them to resume their studies in the country.
The students and their parents have been requesting admission seats in Indian medical colleges for quite some time, but their demands have constantly been denied. Despite filing petitions in the Supreme Court, the Centre stood firm on its decision during the hearings. Additionally, SC cited several reasons to justify their decision not to accommodate Ukraine- returned medical students.

However, the case is ongoing in the Supreme Court and is being heard by Justice Hemant Gupta, who is set to retire on October 16. Meanwhile, the next hearing is scheduled for 11 October, Tuesday.
