Indian students who came back from Ukrainian universities while pursuing their medical education are still undergoing trouble, as the Centre is not allowing them to continue their studies in Indian medical colleges. As a result, several students have decided to move back to the war-torn country.
According to the students, Ukrainian universities have started their offline classes and have provided the necessary documents for them to resume their studies in the country.
The students and their parents have been requesting admission seats in Indian medical colleges for quite some time, but their demands have constantly been denied. Despite filing petitions in the Supreme Court, the Centre stood firm on its decision during the hearings. Additionally, SC cited several reasons to justify their decision not to accommodate Ukraine- returned medical students.
