The Department of Posts under the Ministry of Communications, Government of India has commenced the registration process for filling up multiple Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDSs) vacancies. Interested candidates can submit their application through the official website - indiapostgdsonline.gov.in. The registration window will be live till August 8, 2024.
Candidates will be able to edit/modify information in their application form from August 6 to August 8, 2024.
Age Limit
To be eligible, candidates need to be between 18 to 40 years of age.
Upper Age Limit Relaxation
- SC/ST - 5 years
- OBC - 3 years
- PwD - 10 years
- PwD + OBC - 13 years
- PwD + SC/ST - 15 years
Educational Qualification
Secondary school examination pass certificate of 10th standard with passing marks in mathematics and english from any recognised board in India. Candidates applying for these posts must have studied the local language till the 10th standard.
Selection Procedure
Candidates will be shortlisted for the engagement based on marks obtained in the secondary school examination aggregated to percentage to the accuracy of 4 decimals. However, for applicants having grades/points in their scorecard, marks will be calculated by taking the conversion of grades and points with the multiplication factor (9.5) against the maximum points or grade as 100.
