DBMS Kadma High School, Jamshedpur, now has a state-of-the-art basketball court ratified by the International Basketball Federation (FIBA).
The sports facility was inaugurated by Ashok Kumar, former executive member of the Basketball Federation of India (BFI), and his wife Shanta Ashok Kumar on March 8.
An exhibition match was played between the students of DBMS English School and DBMS Kadma High School after the court was inaugurated.
Students also took part in an inter-house match and all players received certificates of participation.
The new court has polypropylene interlocking tiled floor, which reduces sprain and strain with its anti-skid property. The sports tiles used in the court are weather-proof, resilient and prevent hard fall. The polypropylene plastic surface provides greater shock and sound absorption.
