The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is expected to announce the National Eligibility Entrance Test for Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2024 counselling schedule soon. The counselling process is expected to begin in the second week of September 2024. Candidates who appeared for the NEET PG 2024 exam can check the counselling dates on the official website, mcc.nic.in.
The counselling process for NEET PG 2024 will be held in four stages: Round 1, Round 2, Mop-Up Round, and Stray Vacancy Round. If there are vacant seats after these rounds, MCC may announce additional rounds of counselling.

Documents for NEET PG Counselling 2024 Verification
- NEET PG 2024 admit card

- Class X marksheet or birth certificate
- MBBS degree and marksheets
- Internship completion certificate

Candidates are required to be physically present at the time of document verification. Failure to report to the allotted institute within the given timeline will result in the forfeiture of their candidature.
In line with the minimum qualifying criteria outlined in the NEET PG 2024 Information Bulletin, the cut-off percentiles for different categories are as follows:
- General / EWS: 50th Percentile
- General-PwBD: 45th Percentile
- SC/ST/OBC (including PwBD of SC/ST/OBC): 40th Percentile
NEET PG 2024 Counselling Admission Process
The NEET PG 2024 counselling is a multi-step process that includes registration, payment of fees, choice filling and locking, seat allotment, and reporting to the allotted medical college. Candidates are required to register on the MCC website to participate in the counselling process.
The seat allotment will be based on the NEET PG 2024 merit list, which was released on September 5, 2024, by the National Board of Examinations (NBE).
One of Delhi’s premier medical institutions, Lady Hardinge Medical College, will also participate in the NEET PG 2024 counselling, offering admission to its postgraduate medical programmes.
NEET PG counselling is conducted every year for admissions to 50% All India Quota (AIQ) seats in MD, MS, PG Diploma, and DNB programmes offered by government and private medical colleges across India.
