Jamia Millia Islamia has now shut down registrations for its CUET-based undergraduate admissions post showcasing a short window this month. With the event taking place many students are also anxious about having missed their opportunity to apply for a course in the university.
While the other universities in the city are still taking undergraduate admissions via CUET, opening its registration portals. Jamia chose to invite applications for a short window between 27 to 29 August, 2022. As per the statements of Jafri, an extension had remained open till 10 September, 2022.
Some students have also come forward to state that they had only listed Jamia as the college of their choice in their CUET forms. The NTA opened its correction window for students to make alterations in their forms between 13 to 15 September, but Jamia had already shut down its registrations by then.
However, Jamia now wants to initiate its academic session for the 10 courses where it is also admitting students on the basis of their CUET scores. The university’s academic year has already begun for its 59 undergraduate courses, the entrance exams of which were conducted through the university itself.
