The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the notification of Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET), January 2024 on its official website at ctet.nic.in. Candidates willing to appear in the test can submit their application online at the official website. The last date for submission of application is November 23, 2023.
The application process has already begun on Friday, November 3 and the candidates are being advised to go through the information bulletin carefully before going forward with the application process.
Date of the examination
The examination will be held on Sunday, January 21, 2024.
Eligibility
The minimum qualifications required for appearing in the exam have been notified by NCTE and candidates have been advised to visit the official website of NCTE at ncte.gov.in to check whether they have the required eligibility or not.
Pattern of the exam
Candidates will have to answer Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) by choosing the correct option. Each question will carry one mark and there will be no negative marking for wrong answers.
There will be two papers
Paper 1: Candidates intending to become a teacher for classes I to V will have to appear in this paper.
Paper 2: Candidates intending to become a teacher for Classes VI to VIII will have to appear in this paper.
However, it is to be noted that a candidate intending to become a teacher for both (Classes I to V and Classes VI to VIII) will have to appear in both the papers.
Application fee
General and OBC(NCL) candidates willing to appear in the examination will have to pay Rs 1000 for one paper and Rs 1200 for appearing in both the papers.
For candidates belonging to SC/ST/Differently Abled Person, the application fees will be Rs 500 for one paper and Rs 600 for both the papers.

Step 3: Fill in the Online Application Form and note down Registration number or application Number
Step 4: Upload latest Scanned Photograph and Signature
Step 5: Pay Examination Fee
Step 6: Download the application and take a print-out for future reference
