The Consortium for Technical Education (CTE) and the Commissionerate of Women and Child Development, Government of Maharashtra, have formed an alliance with a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance skill development opportunities for women and children.

This collaboration aims to provide individuals with valuable skills for a brighter future. As a result of this partnership, CTE has successfully established a dedicated Learning Centre to conduct Information Technology training programs at the David Sassoon Industrial School in Mumbai, Maharashtra. The Learning Centre will facilitate hands-on computer experience for a greater number of students.

K. A. Alagarsamy, Director of CTE, expressed his enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, "Through our partnership with the Commissionerate of Women and Child Development, Government of Maharashtra, we have the opportunity to enhance students' skills by offering advanced technology courses. As part of our commitment to building and expanding students' skill sets nationwide, we have appointed a skilled trainer at the David Sassoon Industrial School, furthering our goal of enabling more students with valuable technological knowledge."

In today's educational landscape, upskilling is the key to unlocking a successful future. Memorization and rote learning are no longer sufficient. Students must cultivate critical thinking, problem-solving, and adaptability skills to thrive in the twenty-first century. It is equally important for educators, parents, and students themselves to continually upgrade their skills.

Mr. Sairaman Srinivasan, Chief Strategy Officer of CTE, emphasized the importance of lifelong learning, stating, "We must embrace lifelong learning to stay abreast of the rapidly evolving technology landscape. Through our dedicated learning centers and cutting-edge technology courses, our aim is to equip students to upskill and become future-ready. This partnership enables us to expand the project's reach and impact a larger audience."

Mr. Praveen Chaudhari, Superintendent of David Sassoon Industrial School, expressed his delight regarding the partnership, stating, "We are delighted to partner with CTE through the Commissionerate of Women and Child Development, Government of Maharashtra, to support our students' academic excellence. The CTE-appointed trainer is very friendly with the students, and his teaching methodologies are well-loved by the children, resulting in full attendance during his classes."

This partnership between CTE and the Commissionerate of Women and Child Development marks a significant step towards empowering women and children through education and technology. By providing accessible training programs and cultivating a culture of continuous learning, they aim to equip individuals with the necessary skills to thrive in an increasingly digital world.
