The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced the counselling schedule for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2024. Candidates seeking admission to MD, MS, DNB, and PG Diploma courses under the 50% All India Quota (AIQ) can access the detailed schedule on the official website mcc.nic.in.
The NEET PG 2024 counselling process is set to commence on September 20, with the registration window open until September 26.
The MCC will conduct four rounds of counselling for NEET PG 2024: Round 1, Round 2, Round 3, and the Stray Vacancy Round.
NEET PG 2024 Counselling Dates
- Counselling process will begin with Round 1 registration on September 20 and will conclude on September 26.
- Payment window for registration will close at 3PM on the last day.
- Candidates will be able to fill in their choices from September 23 to September 26.
- Choice-locking facilitywill be available from 4PM on September 26 until 11.55PM on the same day.
- Seat allotment processing for the first round will take place between September 27 and 29.
- Results set to be announced on September 30.
- Candidates allotted seats in the first round will need to report to their respective institutes between October 1 and 8.
- Round 2 registration for NEET PG 2024 counselling will begin on October 14 and end on October 21.
- Results for round 2 will be released on October 24
- Reporting window will be open from October 25 to November 2.
- For Round 3, registrations will be held from November 7 to 12.
- Results to be announced on November 16.
- Stray Vacancy Round will have its registration window open from November 28 to December 2.
- Results will be declared on December 5.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates from the General and EWS categories who have scored in the 50th percentile, General-PwBD candidates with a 45th percentile score, and SC, ST, and OBC candidates with not less than the 40th percentile will be considered for the counselling process.
