The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) is set to release the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2025 notification on July 7, according to an update on their official website consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
"The CLAT 2025 advertisement is scheduled to be released in Print/ Electronic Media on 7th July 2024," the website stated. The notification will include crucial information such as exam dates, syllabus, eligibility criteria, test pattern, marking scheme, reservation policy, exam cities, and exam fees.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have scored a minimum of 45% marks in class 12 for UG applicants and a minimum of 50% in LLB for PG applicants.
Application Fees
Applicants belonging to general category need to pay an application fee of INR 4,000, and those belonging to SC, ST, and BPL categories need to pay INR 3,000.
Question Paper Format
The CLAT UG paper will cover English language, current affairs, logical reasoning, legal reasoning, and quantitative techniques, while the PG paper will focus on constitutional law, jurisprudence, family law, criminal law, and other legal areas.
This national level exam serves as the gateway to undergraduate and postgraduate law programmes offered by 22 National Law Universities (NLUs) and other participating institutes. Earlier announcements confirmed that CLAT 2025 will be conducted on December 1, 2024, with the exam scheduled from 2PM to 4PM.
