For the upcoming CBSE board exams in 2024, students can now access the Class 10 English sample paper, complete with a detailed marking scheme. This important resource is available for download on the official CBSE website, cbseacademic.nic.in.
The examination, scheduled for a three-hour duration, will be graded for a total of 80 marks. Divided into three sections - reading, grammar and writing, and literature - the question paper aims to make a comprehensive assessment of students' language skills.
In the detailed CBSE Class 10 English marking scheme, all 11 questions are compulsory. There will be no overall choices, however, an internal choice will be provided in two questions in Section C and four questions in section D.
Section A will consist of two extensive questions, each further divided into eight short questions.
Section B will consist of three questions, with one carrying 10 marks and two with 5 marks each.
Section C, the largest section, will consist of six questions - two questions with 5 marks each, one question with 12 marks, and two questions with 6 marks each.
