The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) administered the prestigious ICSE and ISC exams in India, which concluded on March 28, and April 4, respectively. With the declaration of the much-anticipated results for the exams today, it was found that girls have outshined boys for both the ICSE and ISC exams, nationwide.
Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) 2024
A total of 2,43,617 students appeared of which 1,30,506 (53.57%) were boys and 1,13,111 (46.43%) were girls. With an overall pass percentage of 99.47%, girls have outperformed boys with a pass percentage of 99.65%, whereas boys have achieved 99.31%.
Indian School Certificate (ISC) 2024
A total of 99,901 students appeared of which 52,765 (52.82%) were boys and 47,136 (47.18%) were girls. With an overall pass percentage of 98.19%, girls have outperformed boys with a pass percentage of 98.92%, whereas boys have achieved 97.53%.
Both the exams have shown steady improvement in pass percentages over the past years, with some fluctuations. However, it is important to remember that each year's results are influenced by various factors, including changes in examination patterns and student preparedness.
