For the academic year 2023–2024, college and university students can now apply online for the Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship (CSSS 2023) through the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
The National Scholarship Portal at scholarships.gov.in also offers the scholarship renewal application. The Ministry of Education's Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Protsahan Yojana (PM-USP CSSS) is funded by the Department of higher education.
"The National Scholarship Portal (http://scholarships.gov.in) is the website to apply online for the "Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students" for the years 2023–2024, as well as for the first, second, third, and fourth renewals for the years 2022, 2021, 2020, and 2019," according to the CBSE Board.
December 31, 2023, is the deadline for new and renewed scholarship applications. The purpose of the scholarship programme is to help deserving students from low-income households cover some of their ongoing educational costs while they pursue higher education.
Based on the grades that students in Class 12 get, the CSSS scholarship 2023 is given out. According to the official statement, "a maximum of 82,000 new scholarships are provided annually for pursuing graduate, postgraduate degrees in colleges and universities and for professional courses, such as medical and engineering."
